G45-80 Ordinance No. G45-80 AN ORDINANCE GRANTING A SPECIAL USE FOR A TELEVISION TRANSMISSION TOWER AT 1617 WELD ROAD WHEREAS, written application has been made for a special use for a television transmission tower at 1617 Weld Road, Elgin, Illinois; and WHEREAS, after due notice as required by law the Elgin Land Use Committee conducted a public hearing and recommended that the special use requested be granted; and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Elgin concurs in the recommendations of the Land Use Committee. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ELGIN, Illinois: Section 1. That the City Council of the City of Elgin hereby finds that such establishment and maintenance of a television transmission tower at the proposed location is necessary for the public convenience in providing required transmission facilities for cable television offered to the public; that the public health, safety and welfare will be protected by imposing the conditions recommended by the Land Use Committee; and that the proposed use will not cause substantial injury to other property in the neighborhood in which it is located as the site is located in an industrial park and the special use is compatible with other uses and represents the relocation of a similar tower from a nearby location. Section 2. That a special use be and is hereby granted to Consolidated Cable Utilities, Inc. for the construction and operation of a television transmission tower on the premises legally described as follows: Lot 4 of Watch City Post Addition to Elgin, in the City of Elgin, Kane County, Illinois. commonly known as 1617 Weld Road, Elgin, Illinois. Section 3. That the special use herein granted be and is hereby made subject to the following conditions: 1. Conformance with the site plan prepared by J. C. Uecker and Associates, dated May 14, 1980. 2. Submission and approval of a specific landscaping plan prior to issuance of a parking lot permit. 3. Compliance with all other applicable codes and ordinances. Section 4._ .
