AN ORDINANCE
REGULATING TRAFFIC ON PRIVATE PROPERTY
WHEREAS, Section 11-209.1 of Chapter 95z of the Illinois Revised
Statutes, 1977, authorizes the corporate authorities to regulate traffic
on private property of a residential subdivision, development or apartment
project containing 10 or more single family dwellings; and
WHEREAS, upon written request the corporate authorities can enforce
traffic regulations pursuant to the provisions of the "Illinois Vehicle
Code", as amended, and in conformed with the State Manual and Specifica-
tions.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL CO THE CITY OF
ELGIN, ILLINOIS:
Section 1. That Chapter 11.36 entitled "Stopping, Standing and Park-
ing" of the Elgin Municipal Code, be and is hereby amended by adding
Section 11.36.060 which is to read as follows:
"11.36.060 Stopping, Standing or Parking Prohibited on
Private Property
Pursuant to Section 11-209.1 of the Illinois Vehicle Code,
Chapter 95h, Ill. Rev. Stat. , and a written request; the follow-
" ing regulations are hereby established for the properties
described:
1. No parking within the fire lane on the north side of
Plymouth Court North from Plymouth Court South to its end.
2. No parking on both sides of Plymouth Court South from
McLean Boulevard to its end."
Section 2. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from
and after its passage and publication in the manner provided by law.
