AN ORDINANCE
RECLASSIFYING PROPERTY LOCATED AT LARKIN AVENUE AND WESTON AVENUE,
FROM R-2, SINGLE FAMILY RESIDENCE DISTRICT TO
0-LIMITED OFFICE DISTRICT
WHEREAS, written application has been made to reclassify certain
property located at Larkin Avenue and Weston Avenue, Elgin, Illinois,
from R-2, Single Family Residence District, to 0-Limited Office District;
and
WHEREAS, the Land Use Committee has conducted a public hearing after
due notice and submitted its report and recommendations to the City Council;
and
WHEREAS, the City Council has reviewed the recommendations of the
Land Use Committee and concurs in such recommendations.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ELGIN, ILLINOIS:
Section 1. That Chapter 19.08, Section 19.08.020, entitled "Zoning
District Map" of the Elgin Municipal Code, 1976, as amended, be and the
same is hereby further amended by adding thereto the following paragraph:
�.. "The boundaries hereinbefore laid out in the 'Zoning
District Map' , as amended, be and are hereby altered by
excluding from R-2, Single Family Residence District, and
including in the 0-Limited Office District, the following
described property:
Lots 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15 and 16 of Block 9 of Theo. F.
Swan's Subdivision, being a subdivision of part of the West
Half of the Southeast Quarter of Section 15, Township 41 North,
Range 8, East of the Third Principal Meridian, in the City of
Elgin, Kane County, Illinois, AND ALSO Lots 16, 17, 18 and 19
in Block 8 of Theo. F. Swan's Subdivision, being a subdivision
of part of the East Half of Section 15, Township 41 North,
Range 8, East of the Third Principal Meridian, in the City of
Elgin, Kane County, Illinois."
subject to the condition that no direct access for vehicular traffic shall
be permitted to or from Larkin Avenue for any use of the premises, other
than existing access for uses lawfully existing on the effective date of
this ordinance.
Section 2. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from
and after its passage and approval in the manner provided by law and shall be
published in pamphlet form by authority of the City Council.
