AN ORDINANCE
ESTABLISHING LEASED PARKING SPACES IN THE CIVIC CENTER PARKING LOT
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ELGIN, ILLINOIS:
Section 1. That Section 11.44.160 entitled "Civic Center Parking
Zone" of Chapter 11.44 of the Elgin Municipal Code, as amended, is hereby
amended by adding subsection F to read as follows:
"F. The Finance Director may lease each parking space in
the northerly two rows for a period of one or three months. The
prepaid rates shall be $25.00 for a one month lease and $70.00 for
a three month lease. The Lessee shall only park in the assigned
rows, place the parking permit on the left front dashboard of his
vehicle so it is visible from the front of the vehicle, and upon
leaving the parking area shall sign the ticket received on entering
with his permit number prior to presenting it to the attendant.
Failure to comply shall result in the revocation of the parking
permit and forfeiture of the paid parking fee."
Section 2. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from
and after its passage and publication in the manner provided by law.
