G19-80 Ordinance No. G19-80 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ARTICLE IV. ENTITLED "THE ADOPTION AND AtMINISTRATION OF POSITION CLASSIFICATION AND PAY PLANS" OF CHAPTER 6 OF THE CITY CODE (ORDINANCE NO. S-569, PASSED DECEMBER 23, 1955) AS PERTAINS TO THE COMPENSATION PLAN AND TO THE SCHEDULE OF STANDARD SALARY RANGES AND THE OFFICIAL SALARY PLAN OF THE CITY OF ELGIN, ILLINOIS, AS AMENDED WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Elgin has heretofore ratified and approved negotiated understandings reached by the City of Elgin's Wage and Benefit Committee and various Employee Relations Committee; and WHEREAS, the City of Elgin has agreed to implement a new schedule for Police employees as described herein. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ELGIN, ILLINOIS: Section 1. That there is hereby added to and forming a part of Arti- cle IV of Chapter 6 of the City Code (Ordinance No. S-569, passed December 23, 1955) , as amended, the following amended schedule of standard salary ranges, forming the official salary plan which shall read as follows: OFFICIAL POLICE SALARY PLAN eft Salary Range Position I II III IV V VI 32 P Police Officer 1431 1472 1538 1608 1692 1788 Section 2. That effective June 29, 1980, the official salary plan shall be amended to read as follows: Salary Range Position I II III IV V VI 32 P Police Officer 1456 1498 1565 1636 1722 1819 Section 3. That effective December 28, 1980, the official salary plan shall be amended to read as follows: Salary Range Position I II III IV V VI 32 P Police Officer 1554 1599 1671 1746 1838 1942 Section 4. That effective June 28, 1981, the official salary plan shall be amended to read as follows: Salary "' Range Position I II III IV V VI 32 P Police Officer 1598 1644 1718 1795 1890 1997 Section 5. That all other ranges in the 'P' schedule of standard salary ranges be and are hereby amended accordingly and that the City Manager is All hereby authorized and directed to prepare the appropriate schedules reflecting the foregoing amendments to salary ranges of the City of Elgin. Section 6. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict with the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed. Section 7.
