G6-79 Ordinance No G6-79 esk AN ORDINANCE GRANTING A SPECIAL USE FOR A CHURCH NORTH OF HIGHLAND AVENUE AND EAST OF RANDALL ROAD WHEREAS, written application has been made for a special use to permit the establishment of a church north of Highland Avenue and east of Randall Road, Elgin, Illinois; and WHEREAS, the Land Use Committee conducted a public hearing on said application following due notice as required by law; and WHEREAS, the Land Use Committee has recommended approval of the applica- tion subject to certain conditions; and WHEREAS, the City Council concurs in the recommendations of the Land Use Committee. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ELGIN, ILLINOIS: Section 1. That the City Council hereby finds and determines that the proposed special use for a church north of Highland Avenue and east of Randall Road, Elgin, Illinois, is necessary for the public convenience at the proposed location to serve the members of the congregation of said church; The City Council further finds that the proposed special use is so designed, located and proposed to be operated that the public health, safety and welfare will be protected in that the use of the property in accordance with the conditions recommended for church purposes is compatible with surrounding uses and will not cause substantial injury to the value of other property in the neighborhood in which it is located. Section 2. That a special use is hereby granted to the First Assembly of God Church for the establishment of a church on the following described premises! Lot 198 of Valley Creek Unit No. 1, Kane County, Illinois. subject to the following conditions: 1. General conformance to the Master Plan, attached hereto and made a part hereof by reference; 2. General conformance to the acquisition, and phasing schedule as outlined in Pastor Allen's letter of November 8, 1978, attached hereto and made a part hereof by reference; and 3. Full compliance with all municipal codes and ordinances in effect as each phase is implemented. Section 3. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict with the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed. Section 4. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage in the manner provided by law and shall be published in pamphlet form by authority of the City Council. s/ Richard L.
