AN ORDINANCE
RECLASSIFYING CERTAIN PROPERTY LOCATED AT 304, 310, 320, 452, 522 AND
532 NORTH McLEAN BOULEVARD, ELGIN, ILLINOIS
WHEREAS, written application has been made to reclassify certain
property located at 304, 310, 320, 452, 522 and 532 North McLean Boulevard
from R-2, Single Family Residence District, to 0-Limited Office District;
and
WHEREAS, the Land Use Committee has conducted a public hearing after
due notice and submitted its report and recommendations to the City Council;
and
WHEREAS, the City Council has reviewed the recommendations of the Land
Use Committee and concurs in such recommendations.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ELGIN, ILLINOIS:
Section 1. That Chapter 19.08, Section 19.08.020, entitled "Zoning
District Map" of the Elgin Municipal Code, 1976, as amended, be and the
same is hereby further amended by adding thereto the following paragraph:
"The boundaries hereinbefore laid out in the 'Zoning
District Map' , as amended, be and are hereby altered by
excluding from R-2, Single Family Residence District, and
including in 0-Limited Office District, the following
described property:
That part of the Northwest Quarter of Section 15, Town-
ship 41 North, Range 8 East described as follows: Lots 1, 3,
4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12 and 13 of Block 8 of Columbia
Park Addition to the City of Elgin. Also the East 8 feet
of a vacated alley adjacent to said lots in the City of Elgin,
Kane County, Illinois. Commonly known as 304, 310 and 320 North
McLean Boulevard.
That part of the Northwest Quarter of Section 15, Town-
ship 41 North, Range 8 East of the Third Principal Meridian
described as follows: Beginning at the Northeast corner of
said quarter section; thence West along the North line 17 feet
more or less to a point of beginning; thence continuing West
165 feet more or less; thence South 132 feet more or less;
thence East 165 feet more or less parallel with the North line
of said section; thence North 132 feet for a point of beginning.
Also the East 8 feet of a vacated alley adjacent to said
described property in the City of Elgin, Kane County, Illinois.
Commonly known as 452 North McLean Boulevard.
That part of the Southwest Quarter of Section 10, Town-
ship 41 North, Range 8 East of the Third Principal Meridian
described as follows: Beginning at the Southeast corner of said
quarter section; thence North along the East line 962.5 feet
more or less; thence West 17 feet more or less parallel with
the South quarter section line to a point of beginning; thence
thence continuing West 150 feet more or less; thence South
135.5 feet more or less; thence East 150 feet more or less
to parallel with the South quarter section line; thence
North 135 feet more or less to the point of beginning in
the City of Elgin, Kane County, Illinois. Commonly known
as 522 and 532 North McLean Boulevard."
Section 2. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from
and after its passage and approval in the manner provided by law and shall
be published in pamphlet form by authority of the City Council.
