G20-79 Ordinance No. G20-79 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE PROVISIONS OF THE ELGIN MUNICIPAL CODE RELATING TO ALCOHOLIC LIQUOR DEALERS BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ELGIN, ILLINOIS: Section 1. That Section 6.06.020B of Chapter 6.06 of the Elgin Municipal Code, as amended, be and is hereby further amended by deleting the following: "In addition to the regular members of the local liquor control commission, one licensee shall be appointed by the city council to serve as an additional ex officio member of the local liquor control commission. Such advisory member shall be submitted by or on behalf of the license holders to the city council. The term of such ex officio member shall be one year. Such ex officio member shall not participate in any hearing to suspend or revoke a license for cause and shall not be entitled to vote on any matter but shall render advice and information concerning the retail sale of alcoholic liquor so as to enable the local liquor control commission to effectively and efficiently perform its duties under this chapter." Section 2. That Section 6.06.040 of Chapter 6.06 of the Elgin rr. Municipal Code, as amended, is amended by adding the following: "No permit shall be required for the sale or delivery of alcoholic liquor pursuant to a Class G license." Section 3. That Section 6.06.050 of Chapter 6.06 of the Elgin Municipal Code, as amended, is hereby amended by adding the following: "H. Class G. For the retail sale of alcoholic liquor by churches or private schools on church or school premises during periods when groups are assembled on the premises solely for the promotion of some object other than the sale or consump- tion of alcoholic liquors, expressly providing, however, that no license shall issue for more than two periods of consecutive days not to exceed three during any calendar year, $25.00 for each period." Section 4. That Section 6.06.090A of Chapter 6.06 of the Elgin Municipal Code, as amended, be and is hereby amended to read as follows: "A. Class A, AA, B and C license fees shall be payable in two equal installments on May 1 and November 1 of each year. All licenses other than Class G shall expire on April 30 next after date of issue. Class G licenses shall expire at the end of the period for which any such license shall issue." r Section 5.
