AN ORDINANCE
DECLARING CERTAIN STATUTORY EXEMPTIONS TO THE
RETAILERS OCCUPATION TAX AND THE SERVICE OCCUPATION TAX
INAPPLICABLE
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ELGIN, ILLINOIS:
Section 1. Chapter 4.12 of the Elgin Municipal Code, 1976, be and
is hereby amended by adding thereto new section 4.12.040 to read as
follows:
"4.12.040
The exclusion contained in Section 2(d) of the
"Retailers Occupation Tax Act" approved June 28, 1933
as amended shall not apply to property within the City
of Elgin."
Section 2. Chapter 4.16 of the Elgin Municipal Code, 1976, be and
is hereby amended by adding thereto new section 4.16.040 to read as
follows:
"4.16.040
The exclusion contained in Section 2(e) of the
"Service Occupation Tax Act" approved July 10, 1961
as amended shall not apply to property within the City
of Elgin."
Section 3. That this ordinance shall be effective upon its passage
and publication as provided by law.
