AN ORDINANCE
RECLASSIFYING CERTAIN PROPERTY LOCATED ON BELLE AVENUE, JERUSHA AVENUE,
NORTH STATE STREET, AND ON STEELE STREET,
ELGIN, ILLINOIS
WHEREAS, written application has been made to reclassify the follow-
ing properties: 108 Belle Avenue from B-1, Community Business
District; 595 and 575 Belle Avenue, 921 and 945 North State Street, and
580 and 590 Jerusha Avenue from B-3, Service Business District; and the
East side of North State Street between Belle Avenue and Adelaide Avenue
and 830, 840, 850, 856, 862, 868, 874, 878, 882, 888, 894, 898, Steele
Street and 861, 867, 873, 875, 881, 887, 893, 897 North State Street from
M-1, Limited Manufacturing District, to 0-Limited Office District; and
WHEREAS, the Land Use Committee has conducted a public hearing after
due notice and submitted its report and recommenations to the City Council;
and
WHEREAS, the City Council has reviewed the recommendations of the Land
Use Committee.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ELGIN, ILLINOIS:
Section 1. That Chapter 19.08, Section 19.08.020, entitled "Zoning
'' District Map" of the Elgin Municipal Code, 1976, as amended, be and the
same is hereby further amended by adding thereto the following paragraph:
"The boundaries hereinbefore laid out in the 'Zoning
District Map', as amended, be and are hereby altered by exclud-
ing from B-1, Community Business District, ,and including in
0-Limited Office District, the following described property:
Lots 3 and 4 of Block 3 of Sadler's Addition, Northwest
Quarter, Section 11, Elgin Township, Kane County, Illinois.
(Commonly known as 108 Belle Avenue)"

20, 21, 22 and 23 of Block 10 of Sadler's Addition, Northwest
Quarter, Section 11, Elgin Township, Kane County, Illinois.
(Commonly known as 830, 840, 850, 856, 862, 868, 874, 878, 882,
888, 894, 898 Steele Street and 861, 867, 873, 875, 881, 887,
893, 897 North State Street)"
Section 4. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage and approval in the manner provided by law and
shall be published in pamphlet form by authority of the City Council.
