AN ORDINANCE
AMENDING URBAN RENEWAL PLAN
WHEREAS, the City of Elgin has heretofore adopted an urban renewal
plan; and
WHEREAS, said plan provided for a fifteen foot yard requirement
along the periphery of the project area; and
WHEREAS, a public hearing was held, after due notice by publication
to consider amendment of the plan to reduce the yard to five feet; and
WHEREAS, the corporate authorities of the City of Elgin after due
consideration find that it is necessary and desirable to amend said
urban renewal plan by reducing the minimum yard requirements.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ELGIN, ILLINOIS:
Section 1. That the urban renewal plan of the City of Elgin be
and is hereby amended by reducing the yard requirements from fifteen
to five feet.
Section 2. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage in the manner provided by law.
