ESTABLISHING FARES FOR THE FOX VALLEY BUS ROUTE OPERATED BY
THE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION OF THE CITY OF ELGIN
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ELGIN, ILLINOIS:
Section 1. There is hereby established the following schedule of
fares for the Fox Valley Bus Service:
Type Fare
Adult Base 30¢
Zone lOrt
Senior Citizens and Handicapped Base 15(t
Zone 5it
Children from age 7 through 11 Base 15(t
Zone 5¢
Children age 6 and younger
(when accompanied by a fare
paying passenger) Free
Students in grades K through 12 traveling
to and from school between the hours Base 15¢
of 6:10 a.m. and 4:15 p.m. Zone 5¢
RTA Universal Transfer 30¢
(students, senior citizen and
handicapped) 15¢
Section 2. That Ordinance G47-76, passed October 13, 1976, entitled
"An Ordinance Establishing Fares and Charges for the Transportation of
Persons by the Department of Public Transportation of the City of Elgin"
be and is hereby repealed.
Section 3. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from
and after July 1, 1978.
