AN ORDINANCE
PROVIDING FOR MEMBERSHIP ON THE FOUNTAIN SQUARE PLAZA MALL COMMISSION
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ELGIN, ILLINOIS:
Section 1. That Section 3.28-020 of the Elgin Municipal Code, 1976,
is amended to read as follows:
"3. 28.020 Members--Appointment.
The commission shall consist of twelve members to be
appointed by the City Council. Two of the commissioners
shall be owners or representatives of owners of real property
in Special Service Area No. 1; two commissioners shall be
businessmen or merchants doing business in Special Service
Area No. 1; one member shall be a consumers' representative
chosen at large from the city; one member shall be a representa-
tive of the Downtowners, Inc. ; one member shall be the executive
director of the In Downtown Elgin Association; and the following
persons shall be ex officio members of the commission: a
member of the city council, the city engineer, the director
of parks and recreation, and the executive vice-president of
the Elgin Area Chamber of Commerce."
Section 2. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
with the provisions of this ordinance be and are hereby repealed.
