AN ORDINANCE
AMENDING ORDINANCE G3-77, RECLASSIFYING CERTAIN PROPERTY
LOCATED AT 1080 EAST CHICAGO STREET, ELGIN, ILLINOIS
WHEREAS, on January 11, 1977 Ordinance No. G3-77 entitled "An
Ordinance Reclassifying Certain Property Located at 1080 East Chicago
Street, Elgin, Illinois" was passed at a regular meeting of the City
Council of the City of Elgin; and
WHEREAS, said ordinance incorrectly recited the conditions upon which
the requested reclassification of the subject property was made.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ELGIN, ILLINOIS:
Section 1. That Section 1 of Ordinance No. G3-77 entitled "An
Ordinance Reclassifying Certain Property Located at 1080 East Chicago
Street, Elgin, Illinois" passed on January 11, 1977 be and is hereby
amended by substituting for the words and figures "1. That no occupancy
permit shall issue for any newly constructed structure prior to the
removal of existing structures." the following:
"1. That the residential use in the existing house
shall cease no later than January 1, 1979."
rft Section 2. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage in the manner provided by law.
