AN ORDINANCE
AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. G50-76 ESTABLISHING FEES AND CHARGES
AT THE MUNICIPAL GOLF COURSES OF THE CITY OF ELGIN FOR THE 1977
GOLF SEASON AND ESTABLISHING CERTAIN POLICIES RELATIVE TO THE
OPERATION OF SUCH COURSES
WHEREAS, the Elgin Public Property and Recreation Board has recommended
that season tickets be available to disabled persons at the same rate as
applicable to senior citizens; and
WHEREAS, the City Council concurs in the recommendations of the Elgin
Public Property and Recreation Board.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ELGIN, ILLINOIS:
Section 1. That Section 1 of Ordinance No. G50-76 entitled "An
Ordinance Establishing Fees and Charges at the Municipal Golf Courses
of the City of Elgin for the 1977 Golf Season and Establishing Certain
Policies Relative to the Operation of Such Courses", passed on November 23,
1976, be and is hereby amended by adding the following:
Disabled Persons Discount
Senior citizen rates shall be available to adults not other-
wise qualifying as senior citizens upon application which
includes the following information:
1. Name and age of applicant.
2. Notarized affidavit by applicant that applicant is
unable to work, full or part time, due to physical
disability.
3. Written statement from licensed physician stating that
the applicant is physically disabled and unable to work
full or part time.
Section 2. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from
and after its passage in the manner provided by law.
