AN ORDINANCE
ESTABLISHING 30-MINUTE PARKING AREAS
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ELGIN, ILLINOIS:
Section 1. That Section 11.44.100A of Chapter 11.04 of Title 11 of
the Elgin Municipal Code, 1976, be and is hereby amended by deleting from
the metered parking areas two stalls on either side of an alley on Douglas
Avenue, east side, between Highland Avenue and Chicago Street and establish-
ing one space on Douglas Avenue, west side, between Highland Avenue and
Chicago Street, so that the number of stalls on Douglas Avenue, both sides,
between Highland Avenue and Chicago Street totals 12.
Section 2. That a loading zone be and is hereby authorized on either
side of an alley on Douglas Avenue, east side, between Highland Avenue and
Chicago Street and on Chicago Street, south side, immediately east of the
Union National Bank exit in accordance with Section 11.40.010, Chapter 11.40,
Title 11 of the Elgin Municipal Code, 1976; the traffic engineering is
authorized to place and maintain appropriate signs at said location.
Section 3. That Section 11.44.100A of Chapter 11.04 of Title 11 of the
Elgin Municipal Code, 1976, be and is hereby amended by adding to the list of
metered parking areas on Highland Avenue the following:
Highland Avenue, south side, between Spring Street and
Douglas Avenue, one stall.
Section 4. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect ten
days after its passage and publication in pamphlet form by authority of the
City Council.
