G58-76 /�► Ordinance No. G58-76 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE COMPENSATION PLAN AS PERTAINS TO THE SCHEDULE OF STANDARD SALARY RANGES AND THE OFFICIAL SALARY PLAN (ORDINANCE NO. S-569, PASSED DECEMBER 23, 1955) OF THE CITY OF ELGIN, ILLINOIS, AS AMENDED WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Elgin has heretofore ratified and approved negotiated agreements reached by the City of Elgin's Wage and Benefit Committee and various Employee Relations Committees; and WHEREAS, the City Council implemented these agreements for a two year period in Ordinance G4-76, G31-76 and G33-76 extending to December 31, 1977; and WHEREAS, the City Council desires to also amend the various salary schedules for management, professional, and supervisory personnel; and WHEREAS, heretofore a schedule of standard salary ranges and an official salary plan has been established by Ordinance No. S-569, passed December 23, 1955, and amendments thereto. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ELGIN, ILLINOIS: Section 1. That effective January 2, 1977 all 'A' series ranges (A/B/ C/DBE referring to management group positions) in the schedule of standard salary ranges and official salary plan be increased by an amount equal to 6 1/2 per cent of the salaries heretofore established. Section 2. That the position titled "Assistant Corporation Counsel" be and is hereby added to range 44A. Section 3. That the position titled "Stage Manager" be and is hereby added to range 37A. Section 4. That the position titled "Transit Supervisor" be and is hereby Added to range 33A. Section 5. That the City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to prepare appropriate schedules reflecting the foregoing amendments to the salary ranges of the City of Elgin. Section 6. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict with the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed° Section 7.
