T2-75 Ordinance No. T2-75 AN ORDINANCE CALLING A GENERAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ELGIN, ILLINOIS: Section 1. That there shall be a general municipal election of officers for the City of Elgin on the 15th day of April, 1975. Section 2. That at such election there shall be elected a Mayor and three councilmen for a four-year term. Section 3. That the City Clerk shall cause to be prepared ballots for said election and shall place thereon the names of the persons who have filed proper petitions of nomination for the office of Mayor and for three offices of councilman. Such ballots shall comply with the state election laws and applicable laws relating to the managerial form of municipal government. Section 4. That said general municipal election shall be held at all the voting precincts of the City of Elgin, Illinois established by ordinance and that polling places and judges and clerks of said elections shall be as hereafter may be designated by ordinance. Section 5. That the City Clerk be and is hereby directed to cause notice of said general municipal election to be given in the form provided by law and published in a newspaper of general circulation in the City of Elgin not more than thirty (30) nor less than fifteen (15) days prior to the general municipal election. s/ W.
