AN ORDINANCE
TO AMEND THE TRAFFIC CODE TO PROVIDE A PENALTY FOR VIOLATIONS OF
SECTION 17-1006
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ELGIN, ILLINOIS:
Section 1. That Section 17-1006 of Article X, Chapter 17 of the Elgin
City Code, as amended, is hereby further amended by adding the following:
"(d) Violations of Section 17-1006 shall be punishable
by a fine of not less than $10.00 nor more than $25.00 for
each violation."
Section 2. That Section 17-1215 of Article XII, Chapter 17 of the
Elgin City Code, as amended, be and is hereby amended by adding the
words "excepting Section 17-1003" after the words "Article X ' whenever
they appear in Section 17-1215, as amended.
Section 3. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
with the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed.
Section 4. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage in the manner provided by law and shall be
published in pamphlet form by authority of the City Council.
