AN ORDINANCE
AMENDING LICENSE FEES FOR MOTOR VEHICLES
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ELGIN, ILLINOIS:
Section 1. That Section 29-103 of Chapter 29 of the City Code of Elgin,
as amended, is hereby further amended so that Subsection (d) thereof reads
as follows:
"(d) Commercial Motor Vehicles.
1. Gross weight including maximum load of 8,000
lbs. or less
Licenses purchased on or before February 15 . . . . . $13.00
Licenses purchased subsequent to February 15
and prior to May 1 $19.50
Plus an additional sum of $2.50 per month,
or any portion thereof, for any license
purchased subsequent to April 30.
Said classification shall include recreational vehicles,
other than recreational vehicles owned and operated by
persons over 65 years of age who do not own any other
motor vehicle; for purposes of this ordinance such recrea-
rtional vehicles shall be classified as passenger vehicles."
Section 2. That all ordinance or parts of ordinances in conflict with
the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed.
Section 3. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from
and after its passage and approval in the manner provided by law and shall
be published in pamphlet form by authority of the City Council.
