G53-75 G53-75 r AN ORDINANCE RECLASSIFYING PROPERTY LOCATED AT 216 MORGAN STREET FROM R-2 to R-3 WHEREAS, written application has been made to reclassify certain property located at 216 Morgan Street, Elgin, Illinois, from R-2, Single Family Residence District, to R-3, Two Family Residence District; and WHEREAS, the Plan Commission has submitted its recommendations to the Zoning Board of Appeals and the City Council; and WHEREAS, the Zoning Board held a public hearing after due notice as required by law and has recommended approval of said application. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ELGIN, ILLINOIS: Section 1. That Subsection b of Section 21-106, Chapter 21 of the City Code of Elgin, Illinois, as amended, be, and the same is hereby amended by adding to it the following paragraph: "That the boundaries hereinbefore described and laid out in the 'Zoning District Map, ' as amended, be and are hereby altered by including in the R-3, Two Family Residence District, and deleting from the R-2, Single Family Residence District, the following described premises: Lot 5 of ..J. P. Morgan's Addition to Elgin, also that part of Lots 2, 3 and 4 in said addition described as follows: Beginning at the Southeast corner of said Lot 5; thence Northeasterly along the Easterly line of said Lot 5 to the Northeast corner thereof; thence Easterly parallel with the Northerly line of said Lot 3 aforesaid 10 feet; thence Southerly parallel with the West line of State Street to the South line of said Lot 4; thence West along the South line of said lot to the point of beginning; in the City of Elgin, County of Kane, State of Illinois." commonly known as 216 Morgan Street, Elgin, Illinois. Section 2. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict with the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed. Section 3.
