AN ORDINANCE
AMENDING ORDINANCE NUMBER T3-74 PROVIDING FOR THE LEVY OF TAXES
FOR THE CITY OF ELGIN SPECIAL SERVICE AREA NUMBER 1
WHEREAS, on March 13, 1974 the corporate authorities of the City
of Elgin adopted Ordinance No. T3-74 levying taxes to provide for the
payment, design and engineering services for a shopping mall in the City
of Elgin Special Service Area Number 1; and
WHEREAS, said ordinance incorrectly refers to the year 1973 as the
base year for said levy of taxes.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ELGIN, ILLINOIS:
Section 1. That Section 1 of Ordinance No. T3-74 be and is hereby
amended to read as follows:
Section 1. That there be and there is hereby levied upon
all taxable real estate or personalty located within the City
of Elgin Special Service Area No. 1, as established by ordinance
of the City of Elgin, Illinois subject to taxation for the year
1974, the sum of $110,000 for the purpose of payment for pro-
fessional design and engineering services for a public improve-
( ment in said special service area in the nature of the shopping
mall.
Section 2. That a certified copy of this amendatory ordinance shall
be filed with the County Clerk of Kane County, Illinois.
Section 3. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from
and after its passage in the manner provided by law.
