r•• AN ORDINANCE
AMENDING THE HANDBILL ORDINANCE TO PERMIT THE DISTRIBUTION OF
POLITICAL AND RELIGIOUS MATTER
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ELGIN, ILLINOIS:
Section 1. That Section 28-501 of Article V of Chapter 28 of the
Elgin City Code, as amended, is hereby amended by adding the following:
"It is further provided that this section shall not be
construed to apply to the distribution of political and
religious matter."
Section 2. That Section 28-502 of Article V of Chapter 28 of the
Elgin City Code, as amended, is hereby amended by adding the following:
"It is further provided that this section shall not be
construed to apply to the distribution of political and
religious matter so long as an article or service of a
commercial nature is not involved."
Section 3. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
with the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed.
Section 4. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from
