em- AN ORDINANCE
AMENDING CHAPTER 18 OF THE CITY CODE RELATING TO
WATER POLLUTION CONTROL.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ELGIN, ILLINOIS:
Section 1. That Article IX of, Chapter 18 of the City Code relating
to water pollution control be and is hereby amended by deleting from
Subsection 18-904(a) the following:
"Notwithstanding the foregoing provisions of this
Section 18-904(a), synthetic detergents or detergents
manufactured for use in machine dishwashers, dairy equip-
ment, beverage equipment, food processing equipment and
industrial cleaning equipment shall not be subject to the
limitations herein set forth, but are hereby made expressly
to the provisions of Section 18-904(b) ."
Section 2. That Subsection 18-904(b) of Article IX of Chapter 18 of
the City Code be and is hereby deleted in its entirety.
Section 3. That Subsection 18-904(c) be and is hereby redesignated as
Subsection 18-904(b) .
Section 4. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict with
e.•, the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed.
Section 5. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from
and after its passage in the manner provided by law and shall be published
in pamphlet form by authority of the City Council.
