AN ORDINANCE
RECLASSIFYING CERTAIN PROPERTY ON THE WEST SIDE OF
WILLARD BETWEEN VILLA AND BENT STREETS FROM R-2 TO B-3
WHEREAS, written application has been made to reclassify certain prop-
erty located on the west side of Willard between Villa and Bent Streets from
R-2, Single Family Residence District, to B-3, Service Business District; and
WHEREAS, the Plan Commission has submitted its recommendations to the
Zoning Board of Appeals and the City Council; and
WHEREAS, the Zoning Board held a public hearing after due notice as
required by law and has recommended approval of said application.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ELGIN,
ILLINOIS:
Section 1. That Subsection b of Section 21-106, Chapter 21 of the City
Code of Elgin, Illinois, as amended, be, and the same is hereby amended by
adding to it the following paragraph:
"That the boundaries hereinbefore described and laid out in
the 'Zoning District Map, ' as amended, be and are hereby altered
by including in the B-3, Service Business District, and deleting
from the R-2, Single Family Residence District, the following
described premises:
Lots 5 through 12, Block 3, J. V. Mink's Addition to Elgin,
in the City of Elgin, Cook County, Illinois."
located on the west side of Willard Avenue between Villa Street and Bent
Street.
Section 2. That all ordinances or parts or ordinances in conflict with
the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed.
Section 3. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from
and after its passage in the manner provided by law.
