(ow AN ORDINANCE
AMENDING THE ELGIN ZONING ORDINANCE TO REZONE CERTAIN PROPERTY
AT 25, 35 AND 45 NORTH AIRLITE STREET, ELGIN, ILLINOIS.
WHEREAS a written application has been made to reclassify certain
property located at 25, 35 and 45 North Airlite Street, Elgin, Illinois
from R-2, Single Family Residence District, to B-1, Community Business
District; and
WHEREAS the Plan Commission has reviewed the application and forwarded
its report to the Zoning Board of Appeals and the City Council; and
WHEREAS the Zoning Board of Appeals has conducted a public hearing
after due notice as provided by the statutes of the State of Illinois and
the Elgin Zoning Ordinance and has forwarded its findings and recommended
to the City Council that the application be granted.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ELGIN,
ILLINOIS:
Section 1. That Subsection B of Section 21-106 of Chapter 21 of the
City Code of Elgin, Illinois, as amended, be and the same is hereby further
amended by adding thereto the following paragraph: The boundaries herein-
before laid out in the "Zoning District Map", as amended, be and are hereby
altered by excluding from R-2, Single Family Residence District, and including
eft in B-1, Community Business District the following described premises:
By Edward Puklin, 1814 Grandstand Place, Elgin to Rezone
from R-2, Single Family Residential to B-1, Community Business
District, the property legally described as Lots 15, 16 and 17
in Block 4 of Walter G. McIntosh $ Co's. Fox River Farms, in
the City of Elgin, Kane County, Illinois. (Commonly known as
25, 35 and 45 North Airlite Street.)
Section 2. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict with
the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed.
Section 3. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from
and after its passage in the manner provided by law and shall be published
in pamphlet form by authority of the City Council.
