G-1606 Ordinance No. G-1606 esu- AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ARTICLE 9 OF CHAPTER 19 OF THE CITY CODE OF ELGIN, ILLINOIS ADOPTING THE 1971 SUPPLEMENT TO THE B.O.C.A. BASIC HOUSING--PROPERTY MAINTENANCE CODE. WHEREAS the City of Elgin has adopted by reference the B.O.C.A. Basic Housing—Property Maintenance Code--1970 as the Housing Code of the City of Elgin; and WHEREAS the 1971 Supplement to said Basic Housing—Property Maintenance Code has, been published; and WHEREAS the City of Elgin desires to amend its Housing Code by adoption by reference of the 1971 Supplement to the B.O.C.A. Basic Housing--Property Maintenance Code; and WHEREAS the Second Edition, 1970 including the 1971 Supplement, of the B.O.C.A. Basic Housing—Property Maintenance Code has been on file with the City Clerk prior to adoption of this ordinance as required by the statutes of the State of Illinois. NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ELGIN, ILLINOIS: Section 1. That Section 19-902 of Article 9 of Chapter 19 of the eft City Code of Elgin, Illinois be and the same is hereby amended. "19.902. Adoption of Basic Housing Code. The regulations of the Second Edition 1970 of the B.O.C.A Basic Housing—Property Maintenance Code, including the 1971 Supplement thereto, recommended and published by the Building Officials and Code Administrators International, Incorporated published in pamphlet form are hereby adopted as the Housing Code of the City of Elgin, except for Subsection H.310.6 entitled 'Motor Vehicles' which is hereby deleted in its entirety." Section 2. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict with the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed. Section 3. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and-after its passage in the manner provided by law and shall be published in pamphlet form by authority of the City Council. s/ W. E .
