AN ORDINANCE
AMENDING CHAPTER 21 OF THE CITY CODE OF ELGIN, ILLINOIS ENTITLED THE
ELGIN ZONING ORDINANCE TO MAKE AIRPORTS A SPECIAL USE.
WHEREAS written application has been made to amend the Elgin Zoning
Ordinance by Adding airports as a special use in all zoning districts; and
WHEREAS the Plan Commission has reported its findings and recommenda-
tions to the City Council and the Zoning Board of Appeals; and
WHEREAS the Zoning Board of Appeals has conducted a public hearing
after due notice and has made its findings and recommendations to the City
Council.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ELGIN,
ILLINOIS:
Section 1. That Subsection B of Section 21-107 of Chapter 21 of the
City Code of Elgin, Illinois, as amended, be and the same is hereby amended
by adding to sub-paragraph (2) entitled "SPECIAL USES" the following:
"q. Airports."
Section 2. That Subsection A of Section 21-107.1 of Chapter 21 of
the Elgin City Code, as amended, is hereby amended by adding new sub-
paragraph (2) to read as follows:
"(2) Special Uses
a. Airports."
and by renumbering and redesignating existing sub-paragraphs (2) , (3) ,
(4) , (5), and (6) as (3) , (4) , (5), (6) , and (7), respectively.
Section 3. That Subsection B of Section 21-108 of Chapter 21 of the
Elgin City Code,' as amended, is hereby amended by adding to sub-paragraph (3)
entitled "SPECIAL USES" the following:
"ni. Airports."
Section 4. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict with
the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed.
Section 5. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from
and after-its-passage as provided by law and shall be published in pamphlet
form by order-of°-the' City Council.
