erw. AN ORDINANCE
AMENDING CHAPTER 21 OF THE CITY CODE OF ELGIN, ILLINOIS ENTITLED THE ZONING
ORDINANCE.
WHEREAS a written application has been filed to rezone certain property
located at 1010-1030 East Chicago Street, Elgin, Illinois from M-1, Limited
Manufacturing District, to B-4, General Service District; and
WHEREAS due notice has been given and a public hearing held pursuant to
the applicable statutes of the State of Illinois and the provisions of the
Elgin Zoning Ordinance; and
WHEREAS the Elgin Zoning Board of Appeals has recommended that the
petition be granted.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ELGIN,
ILLINOIS:
Section 1. That Subsection B of Section 21-106 of Chapter 21 of the
City Code of Elgin, as amended, be and the same is hereby further amended
by adding the following paragraph:
"That the boundaries hereinbefore described and laid out
in the 'Zoning District Map' as amended, be and are hereby
altered by including in B-4, General Service District, the
following described premises: Lots 2, 3 and 4 of Howland's
Subdivision, being a subdivision of part of Lot 7 of the
County Clerk's Subdivision of Unsubdivided Lands in Section 18,
Township 41 North, Range 9, East of the Third Principal Meridian
in the City of Elgin, Cook County, Illinois. (Commonly known as
1010 to 1030 East Chicago Street.)"
Section 2. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict with
the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed.
Section 3. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from
and after its passage in the manner provided by law and shall be published in
pamphlet form by authority of the City Council.
