AN ORDINANCE
REGULATING THE SPEED OF MOTOR VEHICLES IN CITY PARKING LOTS.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ELGIN, ILLINOIS:
Section 1. That Subsection 17-504 regulating the speed of motor vehicles
in City parking lots is hereby added to the City Code of the City of Elgin
and shall read as follows:
"17-504. Speed Regulations In City Parking Lots. No
motor vehicle shall be operated in or upon any parking lot
of the City of Elgin, Illinois at a speed greater than 10
miles per hour. Appropriate signs giving notice of said
speed restriction shall be placed in all said parking lots."
Section 2. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict with the
provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed.
Section 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after its passage as provided by law and shall be published in pamphlet form
by authority of the City Council.
