G-1578 VOLUME XXXVIII March 28, 1973 124 Ordinance No. G-1578 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 21 OF THE CITY CODE OF ELGIN, ILLINOIS ENTITLED THE ZONING ORDINANCE. WHEREAS written application was made to rezone from R-2, Single Family District, to B-3, Service Business District, for the property located at 1801-1813 Larkin Avenue, Elgin, Illinois; and WHEREAS due notice was given and a public hearing held pursuant to the applicable statutes of the State of Illinois and the provisions of the Elgin Zoning Ordinance; and WHEREAS the Elgin Zoning Board of Appeals has recommended that said application be granted. NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ELGIN, ILLINOIS: Section 1. That Subsection B of Section 21-106 of Chapter 21 of the City Code of Elgin, Illinois as amended be, in the same is hereby amended by adding it to the following paragraph. "That the boundary hereinbefore described and laid out in the 'Zoning District Map' as amended, be and are hereby altered by including in B-3 Service Business District, the following described premises: Lot 8 and Lot 9 (except that part described as follows: beginning at the Northeast corner of said Lot 9; thence South along the East line of said lot 139 feet; thence Westerly parallel with the Northerly line of said lot 67.38 feet to the West line of said lot; thence North along said West line 139 feet to the Northwest corner of said lot; thence Easterly along the Northerly line of said lot 67.38 feet to the point of beginning) in Map No. 4 Fox River Hills, in the City of Elgin, Kane County, Illinois. (Commonly known as 1801-1813 Larkin Ave.)" Section 2. That all ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict with the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed. Section 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval as provided by law and shall be published in pamphlet form. W. E.
