ORDINANCE
flow ESTABLISHING FARES AND CHARGES FOR THE TRANSPORTATION OF PERSONS BY MOTOR
VEHICLES BY EQUIPMENT AND FACILITIES OPERATED BY THE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC
TRANSPORTATION OF THE CITY OF ELGIN.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ELGIN, ILLINOIS,
AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That the fares and charges for using the municipal bus
line operated by the Department of Public Transportation of the City of
Elgin, on and after February 1, 1973, be, and the same hereby are, established
as follows:
Adult fares 30Q
High School and Jr. High *15Q
Students from age 12
Children from age 5 thru age 11 15c
Children under age 5 Free
Transfers Free
Tokens 8 for $2.00
* Students shall display their identification cards when paying
the fare established for High School and Jr.High School students.
Said fare shall be in effect only on regular school days (not
including summer school) during the hours between 7:30 a.m. and
4:30 p.m.
eift Section 2. The fares and charges set forth in this ordinance shall
be in full force and effect until such time as changed, modified or terminated
by action of the City Council. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
with the provisions of this ordinance are repealed.
Section 3. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from
and after its passage as provided by law.
