AN ORDINANCE
TO AMEND ARTICLE VII OF CHAPTER 27 OF THE CITY CODE OF ELGIN,
ILLINOIS AS IT PERTAINS TO SERVICE STATIONS AND THE LICENSING
THEREOF.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ELGIN, ILLINOIS :
Section 1. That Article VII of Chapter 27 of the City Code
of Elgin be, and the same hereby is , amended by repealing Section
27®701 thereof in its entirety and inserting in lieu thereof
the following:
27-701, LICENSE REQUIRED. It shall be unlawful to conduct
or operate a service station in the City without having first
obtained a license therefor for each calendar year on or before
the 15th day of January of each year, There shall be no license
fee commencing with the year A.D. 1973 .
No such license shall be issued unless the location and
equipment to be used fully comply with the ordinances of the
City.
.• Section 2 . All ordinances or parts thereof in conflict
herewith be, and the same hereby are, repealed and of no further
force and effect.
Section 3 . That this ordinance shall be effective from and
after its passage as provided by law, and shall be published in
pamphlet form by authority of the City Council,
