AN ORDINANCE
AMENDING CHAPTER 21 OF THE CITY CODE OF ELGIN, ILLINOIS,
ENTITLED "THE ELGIN ZONING ORDINANCE".
WHEREAS, a public hearing has been duly held pursuant
to the Statutes of the State of Illinois , and the provisions
of the Elgin Zoning Ordinance , and
WHEREAS, the Elgin Zoning Board of Appeals has trans-
mitted its recommendations to the City Council, all of which
have been duly considered ,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF ELGIN, ILLINOIS :
Section 1. That Sub-Section B of Section 21-106 of
Chapter 21 of the City Code of Elgin, Illinois , as amended,
be, and the same hereby is amended by adding thereto the
following paragraph:
That the boundaries hereinbefore described and laid
out in the "Zoning District Map", as amended, be,
'PK and they hereby are altered by excluding from
B-1, Community Business District, and including
in R-4, General Residence District, the following
described premises , to-wit:
Part of Outlot "A" of Lord 's Park Terrace, a sub.
of part of Lot 16 in County Clerk 's Division in
the South West quarter of Section 18, Township
41 North, Range 9 , East of the Third Principal
Meridian, in the City of Elgin, Cook County,
Illinois . (Located East of Willard Ave. between
E , Chicago St. and Park Ave .)
Section 2 . That this rezoning is granted for the sole
and exclusive use as a Planned Unit Development which will
be requested subject to all provisions of Section 21-111,
Chapter 21 of the City Code of Elgin. In the event said
Planned Unit Development has not been requested, approved,
and the construction thereon started within one year from the
enactment of this ordinance, the above described premises
shall revert to its prior zoning of B-1 without further action
of the City Council.
Section 3 . That all ordinances or parts thereof in
conflict herewith be, and the same hereby are, repealed
and of no further force and effect, subject, however, to
Section 2 above.
Section 4. That this ordinance shall be in full force

and effect from and after its passage as provided by law
and shall be published in pamphlet form by authority of
the City Council, subject, however, to Section 2 above.
