AN ORDINANCE
AMENDING CHAPTER 21 OF THE CITY CODE OF ELGIN, ILLINOIS, ENTITLED "THE ELGIN
ZONING ORDINANCE".
WHEREAS, a public hearing has been duly held pursuant to the Statutes of the
State of Illinois, and the provisions of the Elgin Zoning Ordinance.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ELGIN, ILLINOIS:
Section 1. That Sub-Section B of Section 21-106 of Chapter 21 of the City
Code of Elgin, Illinois, as amended, be, and the same hereby is, amended by
adding thereto, the following paragraph:
The boundaires hereinbefore described and laid out in the "Zoning
District Map", as amended, be, and they hereby are, altered by
including in B-1 Community Business District, the following
described premises:
Lots 15 and 16 of Block 1 of Illinois Park, Second Addition
and,
That Sub-Section B of Section 21-106 of Chapter 21 of the City Code
of Elgin, Illinois, as amended, be and hereby is, amended by adding
thereto, the following paragraph:
The boundaries hereinbefore described and laid out in the "Zoning
District Map", as amended, be, and they hereby are, altered by
including in B-4 General Service District, the following described
premises:
That part of the East half of the Southwest quarter of Section 10,
Township 21 North, Range 8 East of the Third Principal Meridian,
described as follows: Beginning at the Northwest corner of Lot 12 in
Block III of Illinois Park Second Addition to Elgin; thence South
along the West line and West line extended of said Lot 12, 148.77
feet to the North line of Illinois Park Addition to Elgin; thence
West along said North line 178.49 feet to the East line extended
South of Andresen Bros. Eagle Heights, Unit No. 2; thence North
along the extension of and the East line of said Unit No. 2, 98.65
feet to an angle in said line; thence Northeasterly along the
Southeasterly line of said Unit No. 2, to the Northerly line extended
Westerly of Kaskaskia Avenue; thence Easterly along said extended
Northerly line to the Southwest corner of Lot 15 in Block IV of
Said Illinois Park Second Addition; thence South along the West line
extended of said Lot 15, a distance of 66 feet to the North line of
Block III of said Illinois Park Second Addition; thence West along
said North line 178.65 feet to the point of beginning; in the
Township of Elgin, Kane County, Illinois.
Section 2. That all ordinances or parts thereof in conflict herewith be,
and the same hereby are, repealed and of no further force and effect.
Section 3. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after its passage as provided by law and shall be published in pamphlet form by
authority of the City Council.
