AN ORDINANCE
AMENDING CHAPTER 21 OF THE CITY CODE OF ELGIN , ILLINOIS ,
ENTITLED , "THE ELGIN ZONING ORDINANCE" .
WHEREAS , a public hearing has been duly held pursuant to
the Statutes of the State of Illinois , and the provisions of
the Elgin Zoning Ordinance , and
WHEREAS , the Elgin Zoning Board of Appeals has trans-
mitted its recommendations to the City Council , all of which
have been duly considered .
NOW , THEREFORE , BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ELGIN , ILLINOIS :
Section 1 . That Sub-Section B of Section 21- 106 of
Chapter 21 of the City Code of Elgin, Illinois , as amended, be ,
and the same hereby is , amended by adding thereto , the following
paragraph :
That the boundaries hereinbefore described and laid
out in the "Zoning District Map" , as amended , be
and they hereby are , altered by including in M-1
Limited Manufacturing District, the following des-
cribed premises :
That part of the West Half of Section 4 , Township 41
North , Range 8 East of the Third Principal Meridian ,
commencing at the northeast corner of said West Half
of Section 4 ; thence west along the north line of
said West Half 1091 . 30 feet to the center line of
Randall Road ; thence southerly along the center line
of said Randall Road 738 . 38 feet to the center line
of Big Timber Road ; thence southeasterly along the
center line of said Big Timber Road 1344 . 26 feet to
the east line of said West Half; thence north along
the east line of said West Half 1453 . 90 feet to the
point of beginning , in the Township of Elgin , Kane
County , Illinois .
The Southwest quarter of Section 32 , Township 42
North , Range 8 , East of the Third Principal Meridian ,
in the Township of Dundee , Kane County , Illinois .

Section 2. . That said territories hereinbefore described
be and they hereby are included in the M- 1 , Limited Manufactur-
ing District as set forth in the Elgin Zoning Ordinance (Chapter
21 of the City Code of Elgin , Illinois ) as amended , expressly
subject to the terms and conditions of that certain Annexation
Agreement dated June 14 , 1972 , by and between the City of Elgin
as "City" and Knowles Electronics , Inc . , a Delaware Corporation ,
as "Owners " .
Section 3 . That all ordinances or parts thereof in
conflict herewith be , and the same hereby are , repealed and of
no further force and effect .
Section 4 . That this Ordinance shall be in full force
and effect from and after its passage as provided by law and
shall be published in pamphlet form by authority of the City
Council .
