G-1518 Ordinance No . G-1518 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 21 OF THE CITY CODE OF ELGIN , ILLINOIS , ENTITLED "THE ELGIN ZONING ORDINANCE" . WHEREAS , a public hearing has been duly held pursuant to the Statutes of the State of Illinois , and the provisions of the Elgin Zoning Ordinance , and WHEREAS , the Elgin Zoning Board of Appeals , has transmitted its recommendations to the City Council , all of which have been duly considered . NOW , THEREFORE , BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ELGIN , ILLINOIS : Section 1 . That Sub-Section B of Section 21- 106 of Chapter 21 of the City Code of Elgin , Illinois , as amended , be , and the same hereby is , amended by adding thereto , the following paragraph : ( a) That the boundaries hereinbefore described and laid out in the "Zoning District Map" , as amended, be , and they hereby are altered by including in R-2 , Single Family Residence District, the following described premises , to-wit : Parcel No . 1 : That part of the West half of Fractional Section 3 and the East half of Fractional Section 4 , Township 41 North , Range 8 East of the Third Principal Meridian described as follows : Beginning at the intersection of the center line of Sleepy Hollow Road with the North line of the West half of said Fractional Section 3 ; thence Southerly along said center line , a distance of 1064 . 0 feet to the Northeast corner of land conveyed to the Northern Illinois Gas Company ; thence Westerly along the Northerly line of said Northern Illinois Gas Company land , a distance of 1818 . 8 feet to the Northwest corner of said Northern Illinois Gas Company land ; thence Northerly at right angles to said Northerly line , a distance of 1080. 45 feet to the North line of the East half of said Fractional Section 4; thence Easterly along the North line of the East half of said Fractional Section 4 and the North line of the West half of said Fractional Section 3 , a distance of 1715 . 62 feet to the Southwest corner of the Southwest quarter of Section 33 , Township 42 North , Range 8 East of the Third Principal Meridian; thence Easterly along the North line of the West half of said Fractional Section 3 , a distance of 64. 0 feet to the place of beginning .
