AN ORDINANCE
AMENDING CHAPTER 9 OF THE CITY CODE OF ELGIN ENTITLED "FIRE DEPARTMENT"
TO INCREASE THE NUMBER OF FIRE LIEUTENANTS IN SAID DEPARTMENT.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ELGIN, ILLINOIS.
Section 1. That Section 9. 101 and 9. 102 of Chapter 9 of the City
Code of Elgin, be, and they hereby are, amended to provide therein in
each instance for sixteen (16) lieutenants, in lieu of the thirteen
(13) previously provided therein, in the Elgin Fire Department.
Section 2 . That all ordinances or parts thereof in conflict
herewith be, and the same hereby are, repealed and of no further force
and effect.
Section 3. That this Ordinance will be effective from and after
its passage as provided by law and shall be published in pamphlet form
by authority of the City Council.
