G-1501 Ordinance No . G-1501
AN ORDINANCE
AMENDING CHAPTER 24 OF THE CITY CODE ENTITLED "ALCOHOLIC LIQUOR
DEALERS" AS PERTAINS TO THE HOURS DURING WHICH ALCOHOLIC LIQUORS
MAY BE SOLD.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ELGIN , ILLINOIS :
Section 1 . That Sub-paragraph ( 2) of Section 24-6 .of
Chapter 24 be , and the same hereby is , amended by adding to said
Sub-Section 2 the following additional sentence , to-wit:
"Expressly provided however , that alcoholic liquors
may be sold and served on licensed premises until
3: 00 A.M . on January 1st of each year , to persons
who were actually on the premises as of the normal
closing hour , for such date , as hereinabove provided" .
Section 2 . That all ordinances or parts thereof in conflict
herewith be , and the same hereby are , revoked and of no further
force and effect .
Section 3 . That this ordinance shall be in full force and
effect , from and after its passage as provided by law , and shall
be published in pamphlet form by authority of the City Council .
