AN ORDINANCE
AMENDING CHAPTER 24 OF THE CITY CODE OF ELGIN , ILLINOIS ,
ENTITLED, "ALCOHOLIC LIQUOR DEALERS" TO PERMIT THE EMPLOYMENT
OF WOMEN BY A RETAIL LICENSEE .
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ELGIN ,
ILLINOIS :
Section 1 . That Section 24-7 of Chapter 24 of the City
Code of Elgin , be, and the same hereby is , amended to permit
the employment of women to draw , pour or mix alcoholic liquor ,
as an employee of a retail licensee , in the following manner ,
to-wit:
By deleting sub-section ( 5) of said Section 24-7 ,
in its entirety .
Section 2 . That all ordinances or parts thereof in conflict
herwith be , and the same hereby are , revoked and of no further •
force and effect .
Section 3 . That this ordinance shall be in full force
and effect from and after its passage , as provided by law ,
and shall be published in pamphlet form by authority of the
City Council .
