AN ORDINANCE
AMENDING CHAPTER 21 OF THE CITY CODE OF ELGIN , ILLINOIS ,
ENTITLED "THE ELGIN ZONING ORDINANCE" AS PERTAINS TO THE
LOCATION OF CERTAIN PERMITTED USES IN THE B- 1 , COMMUNITY
BUSINESS DISTRICT .
WHEREAS , a public hearing has been duly held pursuant to
Statute of the State of Illinois and the provisions of the Elgin
Zoning Ordinance , and
WHEREAS , the Elgin Zoning Board of Appeals has transmitted
its recommendations to the City Council , all of which have been
duly considered .
NOW , THEREFORE , BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ELGIN , ILLINOIS :
Section 1 . That Section 21-108, B . Sub-Section ( 1 ) a . ,
"General Conditions " , of Chapter 21 of the City Code be , and the
same hereby is amended in the following manner , to-wit :
By deleting from said sub-section ( 1 ) a . the following :
" Uses designated hereinafter with an asterisk (*)
shall not be located on the first story nearer than
50 feet to a street , and processing and repair
elk activities in connection with such uses may extend
over more than 25 percent of the floor area . "
Section 2 . That all ordinances or parts thereof in conflict
herewith be , and the same hereby are , repealed and of no further
force and effect .
Section 3 . That this ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage as provided by law and shall
be published in pamphlet form by authority of the City Council .
