•► AN ORDINANCE
PROHIBITING THE CONNECTION OF SANITARY OR INDUSTRIAL WASTE SEWERS
TO STORM WATER DRAINAGE SYSTEMS CONSTRUCTED AS A PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT
ON A CERTAIN PORTION OF NORTH LIBERTY STREET , IN THE CITY OF ELGIN ,
ILLINOIS .
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ELGIN ,
ILLINOIS :
Section 1 . It shall be unlawful for any person , firm ,
or corporation to connect or cause to be connected , any drain
carrying , or to carry , any toilet , sink , basement , septic tank ,
cesspool , industrial waste , or any fixture or device dis charging
polluting substances , to any storm drainage system constructed as
a part of the improvement of Liberty Street ( FAS Route 106 , Illinois
Route 25) known as State Section 54 (W&RS-3 ) , City Section 79-5X-CS .
Section 2 . Any person , firm , or corporation vilating this
ordinance shall be fined not less than One Hundred Dollars ( $100 . 00 )
nor more than Five Hundred Dollars ( $500 . 00) for each offense ,
and a separate offense shall be deemed committed for each and
every clay during which a violation continues or exists .
Section 2 . That all ordinances or parts thereof in
conflict herewith be , and the same hereby are , repealed and of
no further force and effect.
Section 3 . That this ordinance shall be effective from
and after its passage as provided by law and shall be published
in pamphlet form by authority of the City Council .

Resolution Adopted Pertainin: to the Improvement of North Libert Street.
Councilwoman Pearsaul made a motion, seconded by Councilman Tillery to adopt a
resolution pertaining to the improvement of North Liberty Street. Yeas: Councilmen
Bruneman, Doxey, Landis , Pearsaul, Santanni, Tillery and Mayor Rauschenberger, Nays:
None .
