Ordinance No . G-1472
AN ORDINANCE
TO AMEND THE TRAFFIC CONTROL ORDINANCE TO PROVIDE FOR AN
ADDITIONAL STOP INTERSECTION .
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ELGIN ,
ILLINOIS :
Section 1 . That Article VIII of Chapter 17 of the City
Code of Elgin be , and the same hereby is , amended by adding
to the streets designated under Section 17-802 entitled
"Stop Intersections " the following :
All vehicles being operated on South Street
• must stop at S . Edison Street before crossing or
entering the same.
Section 2 . That all ordinances or parts thereof in con-
flict herewith be , and the same hereby are , repealed and of
no further force and effect .
Section 3 . That this ordinance shall be effective from
and after its passage as provided by law and shall be published
in pamphlet form by authority of the City Council .

Ordinance Passed Authorizing Channing Street as a Through Street
from Villa to East Chica•o and East Chica:o to Park Street
Councilman Doxey made a motion, seconded by Councilman Tillery to pass an ordinance
authorizing Channing Street as a Through Street from Villa to East Chicago and East
Chicago to Park Street. Yeas: Councilmen Bruneman, Doxey, Landis, Pearsaul, Santanni,
Tillery and Mayor Rauschenberger. Nays: None.
