AN ORDINANCE
AMENDING CHAPTER 21 OF THE CITY CODE OF ELGIN , ILLINOIS ,
ENTITLED "THE ELGIN ZONING ORDINANCE" .
WHEREAS , a public hearing has been duly held pursuant
to the Statutes of the State of Illinois , and the provisions
of the Elgin Zoning Ordinance , and
WHEREAS , the Elgin Zoning Board of Appeals has transmitted
its recommendations to the City Council , all of which have
been duly considered .
NOW , THEREFORE , BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF ELGIN , ILLINOIS :
Section 1 . That Sub-Section B of Section 21- 106 of
Chapter 21 of the City Code of Elgin , Illinois , as amended ,
be , and the same hereby is , amended by adding thereto ,
the following paragraph :
That the boundaries hereinbefore described and laid
out in the " Zoning District Map" , as amended , be ,
and they hereby are , altered by excluding from
B-1 , Community Business District , and including
in B-3 , Service Business District , the following
described premises :
That part of Lots 3 and 4 in Block 14 of P . J .
Kimball ' s Jr . Third Addition to Elgin , described
as follows : Commencing at the Northeasterly
corner of said lot 3 ; thence Southerly along the
Easterly line of said Lot , 66 feet; thence Westerly
parallel with the Northerly line of said lot , 133
feet to a point hereinafter referred to as Point "A" ,
thence Westerly parallel with the Northerly line of
said Lot , 197 feet to the Westerly line of said Lot
( said parallel line hereinafter referred to as line
"B " ) ; thence Northerly along said Westerly line 62
feet for the point of beginning ; thence Easterly
195 feet 4 inches to a point 57 feet Northerly of
point "A" aforesaid, measured along a line drawn at
right angles to said line "B" ; thence Easterly 133
feet 9 1/2 inches to a point on the Easterly line
of said Lot 3 , 4 feet Southerly of the Northeast
corner thereof ; thence Northerly along the Easterly
lines of said Lots 3 and 4 , 75. 16 feet to the Southeast
corner of William H . Wilcox Second Addition to Elgin ,
thence Westerly along the Southerly line of said
William H . Wilcox ' s Second Addition to Elgin 330 feet
to the Westerly line of Lot 4; thence Southerly
along said Westerly lines of said Lots 4 and 3 ,
72 . 15 feet to the point of beginning , in the City of
Elgin , Kane County , Illinois
