AN ORDINANCE
AMENDING ARTICLE I OF CHAPTER 30 OF THE CITY CODE OF ELGIN ,
ENTITLED " FIREWORKS , EXPLOSIVES , FLAMMABLE LIQUIDS" TO DELETE
CERTAIN SECTIONS THEREIN , CONFLICTING WITH THE FIRE PREVENTION
CODE OF THE CITY OF ELGIN .
WHEREAS , The Council of the City of Elgin has heretofore
adopted a new comprehensive Fire Prevention Code as set forth in
Chapter 9 1/2 of the City Code of Elgin , Illinois , and
WHEREAS , certain provisions in Chapter 30 of the City Code
of Elgin , Illinois , conflict with the newly adopted Fire
Prevention Code .
NOW , THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ELGIN :
Section 1 . That Article I of Chapter 30 of the City . Code
of Elgin , Illinois be , and the same hereby is , amended in the
following manner, to-wit:
By repealing Sections 30-101 ; 30-102; and 30- 103 of
said Article I of said Chapter 30 in their entirety .
Section 2 . That all ordinances or parts thereof in conflict
herewith be , and the same hereby are , repealed and of no further
force and effect .
Section 3 . That this Ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage as provided by law and shall be
published in pamphlet form by authority of the City Council .
