eft AN ORDINANCE
AMENDING CHAPTER 21 OF THE CITY CODE OF ELGIN , ILLINOIS ,
ENTITLED " THE ELGIN ZONING ORDINANCE" AS PERTAINS TO LOT
AREA AND BUILDING HEIGHT REQUIREMENTS IN MULTIPLE FAMILY
DISTRICTS .
WHEREAS , a public hearing has been duly held pursuant to
the Statutes of the State of Illinois and the provisions of the
Elgin Zoning Ordinance , and
WHEREAS , the Elgin Zoning Board of Appeals has transmitted
its recommendations to the City Council , all of which have been
duly considered .
NOW , THEREFORE , BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF ELGIN , ILLINOIS :
Section 1 . That Section 21-107 of Chapter 21 of the City
Code of Elgin , Illinois be amended in the following manner, to-wit :
A . By deleting the present provisions of sub-paragraph ( c)
of paragraph ( 3) of Sub-section E in its entirety , and inserting
in lieu thereof the following , to-wit:
c . Multiple Family Dwellings :
eft One Bedroom and Over 2400
Efficiency Units in Multiple
Family Dwellings 1650
B . That sub-section G of Section 21-107 of Chapter 21 be ,
and the same hereby is , amended by deleting therefrom , in its
entirety , sub-paragraph 6 thereof entitled "BUILDING HEIGHT" .
Section 2 . That all ordinances or parts thereof in conflict
herewith be , and the same hereby are , repealed and of no further
force and effect.
Section 3 . That this ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage as provided by law , and shall
be published in pamphlet form by authority of the City Council .
