r. AN ORDINANCE
AMENDING CHAPTER 21 OF THE CITY CODE OF ELGIN , ILLINOIS ,
ENTITLED THE ELGIN ZONING ORDINANCE" ,
WHEREAS , a public hearing has been duly held pursuant
to the Statutes of the State of Illinois , and the provisions
of the Elgin Zoning Ordinance , and
WHEREAS , the Elgin Zoning Board of Appeals has transmitted
its recommendations to the City Council , all of which have
been duly considered ,
NOW , THEREFORE , BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF ELGIN , ILLINOIS :
Section 1 , That Sub-Section B of Section 21-106 of
Chapter 21 of the City Code of Elgin , Illinois , as amended ,
be , and the same hereby is , amended by adding thereto ,
the following paragraph :
That the boundaries hereinbefore described and laid
out in the "Zoning District Map" , as amended , be ,
and they hereby are , altered by excluding from
M- 1 , Limited Manufacturing District , and including
in R-4 , General Residence District , the following
described premises :
e That part of the East half of Section 21 , Township
41 North , Range 8 East of the Third Principal
Meridian , described as follows : Beginning at
the intersection of the South line of South Street
with the most Easterly line of Belmont Avenue ;
thence Southerly along the most Easterly line of
Belmont Avenue , a distance of 1011, 81 feet; thence
Westerly at right angles to the last described
course , a distance of 297 , 0 feet to the East line
of Belmont Avenue; thence Southerly along said
East line , a distance of 939, 17 feet to the South
line extended Westerly of Lot 3 in Block D of
Burnidge Bros . Industrial Park Block D of Unit No .
1 , being a subdivision of part of Sections 21 and
22 , Township and Range aforesaid ; thence Easterly
along said South line extended Westerly a distance
of 130 , 0 feet; thence Northerly parallel with the
East line of Belmont Avenue , a distance of 809 . 03
feet; thence Easterly at right angles to the last
described course , a distance of 297 , 0 feet; thence
Northerly parallel with the most Easterly line
extended Southerly and the most Easterly line of
Belmont Avenue , a distance of 1141. 81 feet to
the South line of South Street; thence Westerly
r along said South line , a distance of 130, 0 feet
to the place of beginning . Being situated in
the City of Elgin , Kane County , Illinois and
containing 3 , 644 Acres more or less .
Section 2 . That all ordinances or parts thereof in conflict
herewith be , and the same hereby are , repealed and of no further
force and effect .
Section 3 . That this ordinance shall be in full force
and effect from and after its passage as provided by
law and shall be published in pamphlet form by authority
of the City Council ,
