eft AN ORDINANCE
AMENDING CHAPTER 21 OF THE CITY CODE OF ELGIN , ILLINOIS ,
ENTITLED "THE ELGIN ZONING ORDINANCE" .
WHEREAS , a public hearing has been duly held pursuant to
the Statutes of the State of Illinois , and the provisions of the
Elgin Zoning Ordinance , and
WHEREAS , the Elgin Zoning Board of Appeals has transmitted
its recommendations to the City Council , all of which have been
duly considered .
NOW , THEREFORE , BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ELGIN , ILLINOIS :
Section 1 . That paragraph "J " of Section 21- 104 of
Chapter 21 of the City Code of Elgin , Illinois , as amended ,
be , and the same hereby is , amended , by adding the following
additional sentence to Sub-section C of Section 2 of said
paragraph "J " , to-wit :
"Nothing to the contrary herein notwithstanding ,
open cyclone type fencing shall be permitted , not
to exceed six feet in height, in front and
corner yards surrounding organized park , playground
or recreational areas only and name plates or signs
eft shall be permitted not subject to the requirements
for advertising signs , as to location , area , and
height , approved by the Director of the Department of
Engineering and Inspection , for the purpose of
identifying such park , playground or recreational
areas ,
Section 2 . That all ordinances or parts thereof in
conflict herewith be , and the same hereby are , repealed and
of no further force and effect .
Section 3 . That this ordinance shall be in full force
and effect from and after its passage as provided by law and
shall be published in pamphlet form by authority of the City
Council .
