AN ORDINANCE
AMENDING CHAPTER 12 OF THE CITY CODE ENTITLED "DEPARTMENT
OF CEMETERIES" AS PERTAINS TO THE FEE SCHEDULE CONTAINED
THEREIN .
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ELGIN ,
ILLINOIS :
Section 1 . That Section 12- 16 of Chapter 12 of the City
Coda of Elgin , Illinois , as amended, be and the same is , hereby
amended by repealing the existing schedule of fees contained
therein in its entirety and by inserting in lieu thereof in
said Section 12-16 , the following:

1 , For opening, filling and sodding
Adult ' s grave - Weekdays . . $125 . 00

1O .Grave Box - charge for grave boxes is established at
an amount equal to the actual cost of the City , plus
50°% thereof. For the poor , the charge will be the
actual cost to the City .
11 . Perpetual Care (Allocated to perpetual care and
Improvement Fund) First 2-grave space or less in any
burial plot 200 .00
Each additional grave space . 50 .00
( Perpetual care shall be paid on entire lot prior to
setting headstone or monuments on any portion thereof . )
12 . Foundation charges per setting $ 5 .00
Description of each stone to be submitted to Director
of Cemeteries for his approval and directions as to
placement location
13 . Vault setting fee.
Vaults outside dimensions

Vaults outside dimensions
60" to 92" in length 35 .00
Vaults outside dimensions

Section 2 . That all ordinances or parts thereof in
conflict herewith be, and the same hereby are , repealed and
of no further force and effect .
Section 3 . That this ordinance shall be in full force
and effect from and after its passage as provided by law and
shall be published in pamphlet form by authority of the
City Council .
