AN ORDINANCE
AMENDING CHAPTER 21 OF THE CITY CODE OF ELGIN , ILLINOIS , EN-
TITLED "THE ELGIN ZONING ORDINANCE " .
WHEREAS , a public hearing has been duly held pursuant
to Statute of the State of Illinois and the provisions of
the Elgin Zoning Ordinance , and
WHEREAS , the Elgin Zoning Board of Appeals has transmitted
its recommendations to the City Council , all of which have
been duly considered .
NOW , THEREFORE , BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF ELGIN , ILLINOIS :
Section 1 . That Sub-section B of Section 21- 106 of
Chapter 21 of the City Code of Elgin , Illinois , as amended ,
be , and the same hereby is , amended by adding thereto the
following paragraph :
That the boundaries hereinbefore described and laid
out in the "Zoning District Map" , as amended , be ,
and they hereby are , altered and amended in the
following manner , to-wit:
By including in B-3 , Service Business District , the
following described premises , to-wit :
That part of the South half of Section 7 , Township
41 North , Range 9 East of the Third Principal
Meridian , described as follows : Commencing at the
Northwest corner of the East half of the Northwest
quarter of Section 18 , Township 41 North , Range 9
East of the Third Principal Meridian; thence North
2 degrees 00 minutes East 1322 . 0 feet along the line
between the lands of Starrett and Walbaum to a point
25 . 0 feet South of the North line of the South half
of Government Lot 1 of the Southwest quarter of
said Section 7 ; thence North 88 degrees 00 minutes
East along a line parallel with and 25 . 0 feet
South of said North line , 528. 76 feet for place
of beginning ; thence continuing North 88 degrees
00 minutes East along said parallel line , 315 . 07
feet; thence South 2 degrees 00 minutes West ,
702 . 64 feet to the North line of Evanston Highway
( State Route 58) ; thence North 89 degrees 39
minutes West along said North line 314. 44 feet; thence
North 2 degrees 00 minutes East, 691. 29 feet to the
place of beginning . Containing 5 . 03 acres more
or less and being situated in Cook County , Illinois .
Section 2 . That all ordinances or parts thereof in
conflict herewith be , and the same hereby are , repealed and
of no further force and effect.
Section 3 . That this ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage , as provided by law, and
shall be published in pamphlet form by authority of the
City Council .
